On March 27, nearly a million people from around the world came together to celebrate Roblox’s most incredible experiences and creators at our virtual awards ceremony – the 8th Annual Bloxy Awards.
Long before the show’s premiere, a galaxy of players, creators, and developers converged on the high-tech spaceport at the center of Bloxys. Visitors wandered through a sci-fi setting, cast their votes for popular categories, and chased time-limited virtual products within the space age complex. But all that was just a prelude to the adventure that was about to unfold.
Once show day rolled around, excited Metaverse tourists flocked to the venue to take a journey through popular Roblox experiences including World // Zero, RB Battles, Y Adopt me. The event drew more than 26 million visits, and at the same time 855,000 players they were simultaneously experiencing every action-packed second. In addition to host JParty, the adventure featured Roblox luminaries Rovi23, TanqR, iamSanna, KreekCraft, and LeahAshe. Additionally, music fans were blown away by an incredible set by British rock duo Royal Blood, taking to the virtual stage in stylish avatars custom designed and animated for performance.
