Wings of Ruin Guide – How to Avoid Freezing
After leaving Rutoh Village and Alcala Valley, you will find yourself in Loloska. This is the third chapter of the game, set in a mountainous and icy region. There happens to be a particular mechanic that will become entangled with your entire party if you’re not careful. Here’s our guide to help you avoid the effects of frostbite on Monster Hunter 2: Wings of Ruin stories.

Monster Hunter 2: Wings of Ruin Stories guide – Avoid freezing in Loloska
Once you reach Loloska’s entrance, a notification will tell you that the freeze mechanic is active. It means that the vast majority of battles that take place in this region will cause your characters to freeze in place or cool to the bone.
Simply put, you and your friend from Monstie won’t be able to act at all. This can be a very daunting prospect, as enemies will be free to take you out with ease.
Fortunately, there are a few ways to counteract the effects of freezing. The first is an article called Hot Mist. You will receive 3x of this consumable after saying goodbye to Alwin in Rutoh Village. You can continue to buy more from the market vendors for 100 gold a piece.
When used, Hot Mist avoids the effects of freezing on her entire party until she returns to a center / city. Keep this in mind because you could accidentally fast-travel to a town and remove the benefit entirely.
The second method only applies to one Monstie in your party. Check your monsters to see if they have the “warming gene”. This ensures that your friends can still attack and launch during battles in the region. Creatures like Zamtrios and Lagombi have this gene by default. You can also use the Rite of Channeling to pass the gene to a Monstie that you prefer to use.
The third and final option is for your character and involves a bit of crafting. Make sure you’ve used Hot Mist, then look for Zamtrios mobs in the area. Keep fighting them until you have enough materials to forge Zamtrios’ armor, which has the “Cold Res.” Perk. Frostbite will no longer affect you while you have this equipped.
Note: Lagombi armor also has “Cold Res.” However, this enemy doesn’t appear until much later in the chapter.

The Guardian reported that General John Kelly said that Trump once told him: “Hitler, he did some good things.” The connection Trump shares with American Nazi groups is further clarified in the new books, “Cruelty is the Point,” by Adam Serwer. Since Trump became president, white supremacist groups have embraced him as their leader and, in pursuit of votes and power, he has hissed at these Hitler-worshiping groups of support for his existence. Since Trump, the rise of anti-Semitism and racism is increasing at an alarming rate, and he remains silent.
