Yes, Tantalus was also the developer of The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

It is becoming increasingly common for Nintendo to lend its IP and turn to third-party studio services to help remake and remaster its classic game library, so it’s no surprise to find that the company’s latest release, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, was also handled by someone else.

As highlighted by Nintendo’s Australian fan site Vooks.net, the developer of the upgraded Switch port was Australian developer Tantalus, based in Melbourne. This information was confirmed in the game’s credits. While the study may not be widely known, it actually has a bit of a history with The legend of Zelda series dating back to 2016.

During the troubled Wii U generation, he was responsible for the HD version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess from the Wii and GameCube era. The show’s producer, Eiji Aonuma, originally recruited the studio because he felt like he had. “strong development skills“in a series of remakes:

“I felt they had strong development skills from seeing their work on remakes of previous titles, so I decided to ask Tantalus to remake this title.”
