Cuban Americans and Republicans criticize Biden for doing nothing for freedom – RedState
Joe Biden and Jen Psaki had a hard time even mentioning the “C” word (communism) when it came to the protests in Cuba. Instead, they blamed the protests on the pandemic and the economy.
Biden insisted that he would support the Cuban people against their tyrannical rule (even if he had trouble naming which ideology was causing the problem).
How have you kept that promise? It does not appear to have done anything in response. That’s what a “Biden’s word” is worth.
Cuban Americans and Florida legislators at a protest in Miami told Sean Hannity They have been pleading with the White House and have been completely baffled.
Representative María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) said she has asked Biden for a meeting up to “three times a day,” but has not received a response. Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Marco Rubio and Mayor Francis Suárez were there supporting the protest and asking Biden for help. Salazar won his seat, which was changed from a Democrat, probably in part because of concerns about how Biden would give way to the left.
Two of the protesters were covered in theatrical blood, gagged and chained, representing what is happening now in Cuba, one of them said.

“These chains represent the dictatorship in Cuba. This blood represents the blood that will be in the hands of those who are on the side of the dictatorship, and not on the side of the Cuban people, ”he said.
“Joe Biden, Cuba wants freedom,” he said, addressing the president. “They need freedom. They don’t want vaccines, they don’t want food, they need freedom: that is what the Cuban people deserve, and that is what they want.
You’d think that you could at least pretend to care and listen to the concerns expressed by people. But apparently, he wants to quit Florida for the foreseeable future, with this kind of attitude.

The protests continue, but the government has been locking up many of the organizers and persecuting people simply for saying “freedom”, creating a climate of fear.

Meanwhile, Biden’s people are not taking concrete steps to improve the situation. They could help the Internet situation, they could boost the Radio Martí signal to Cuba to bring more information to the Cuban people, they could speak louder. But so far they haven’t done any of that.
