Home Uncategorized The election of minority leader Kevin McCarthy to the House committee investigating the insurrection was an obvious stunt pushed by Trump. Two members, Representatives Jim Jordan and Jim Banks, voted against the 2020 election certification. Pelosi rejected both of them. Jordan also announced that President Pelosi should be investigated for failing to protect the Capitol. An obvious and planned setup for Pelosi to reject it and claim that the committee is partisan. McCarthy and Trump’s plans are obvious and will backfire.

Has anyone noticed that Republicans don’t spend time formulating policies or legislating and 100% of their time demonize Democrats, block all agendas introduced by the Biden Administration, promote lies about non-existent fraud in the 2020 election that Trump LOST? , downplaying the January 6 insurrection and donation collection with dark money?

Republicans voted against forming a bipartisan 9/11-type commission to investigate the January 6 insurrection and even opposed forming a House committee to investigate the attack. What are they hiding? What are they afraid of? Are they protecting Trump? Do you want the subject to be forgotten for political reasons? The independent commission would have been bipartisan made up of an equal number of Democrats and Republicans. The position that Kevin McCarthy’s caucus occupies is undemocratic, pro conspiracy theories, anti-police terrorist groups and white supremacists. Why don’t they want the American people to know how the insurrection was organized and paid for and whether or not any member of Congress was involved?

Representative Jim Jordan was an inappropriate choice for many reasons, and Speaker Pelosi rightly rejected it. Jordan met with Trump the day before the insurrection and will likely be called as a witness. He voted against certifying the electoral college vote for the 2020 elections, is an active voice in the “big lie” movement and is a disruptor on committees when in front of the camera. He is also lucky that he is not in jail. He was named by at least 6 students at Ohio State as aware of the sexual abuse of members of the wrestling team by the team doctor, Robert Strauss, and did not report or intervene. Jordan denies the allegations, but the witnesses made statements that effectively dispute his denial.

CNN reported that “several former OSU athletes told CNN that they found Jordan’s denials puzzling, because they say they clearly remember him responding to complaints about Strauss. A former wrestler, Dan Ritchie, said he remembers a teammate complaining. of Strauss and that Jordan said, “If he ever tried to get me to break his neck like a stick of dried balsa wood.” Somehow, the red state of Ohio made the scandal go away. “

The Republican base that shares ideologies like Jim Jordan makes a lot of noise in those MAGA children’s rallies, but it is a minority that will not have enough weight to win the elections. They are under Trump’s toxic spell to the point of being pathologically brainwashed. As Trump continues to run across the country and continues to tell the lie of a stolen election, it sounds delusional and pathetic. His niece, Mary Trump, a psychologist, describes her uncle as a pathologically insecure person whose greatest fear is being a “loser.” Joe Biden surprised him in the election and created a false reality that he won so that his followers would not see him as a loser. If it weren’t so dangerous and unpleasant, it would be easy to feel sorry for him.

Trump’s lie that he won the election is pathetic, and the interest in his ranting about the insurrection as a “love party” between the rioters and the Capitol police is raising concerns once again about whether he is simply a pathological liar or clinically delusional. His inability to be the “loser” has led him to create a dangerous narrative that could destroy our democracy. The Republican Party has allowed him and is complicit in the damage he has done to the economy and the lives of millions of Americans.
