Having raised more money than anyone in the Republican Party so far this year, they show new submissions Donald Trump is full of cash. Absolutely swimming in it. But even as the money flows, the former president is reportedly hardening one of his fiercest allies and loyal political representatives, Rudy Giuliani, as the former New York mayor finds himself increasingly caught in a federal investigation that is reportedly it’s costing you millions in legal fees.
Here’s the latest on the apparent fallout between the two men:
Trump’s advisers have made it clear that they see no mechanism to pay Giuliani’s legal bills that is not problematic for Trump, and they believe that Giuliani took steps that an attorney should have known were problematic, even if the client wanted it.

That is particularly concerning for Giuliani, whose legal defense fund has could not lift anything in his fight against the federal investigation into whether he worked as an unregistered lobbyist for Ukrainian officials. Giuliani, who was recently suspended from practicing law in New York, also faces a separate lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems about his relentless electoral lies. And despite his penchant for conspiracy theories and misinformation, it seems, as Haberman points out, that Giuliani seems to understand the seriousness of his precarious legal situation.
“I am more than willing to go to jail if they want to put me in jail,” he said. Melissa Russo of NBC New York in an interview last week. “And if they do, they will suffer the consequences in heaven, not me. Because I didn’t do anything wrong. “
Those comments came despite the fact that the interview, as Russo explained in the segment, was supposed to focus on the upcoming 20th anniversary of 9/11. The fact that Giuliani, on the other hand, has nervously discussed his legal danger does not exactly exude confidence in his chances of escaping from jail, or in how he is going to pay for all of this. But that’s what happens when you go to bat for Donald Trump, isn’t it?
