The League of Legends patch cycle continues. Now that League of Legends patch 11.15 has been released to live servers, its follow-up has started to debut on the MOBA game proving grounds for what seems like an extended period of time in this round: a three week development cycle, instead of the usual fifteen-day rotation we are used to. So, with a ton of new content ahead of us, let’s take a look at what’s coming for League of Legends patch 11.16, shall we?

While the previous two updates had to do with the Sentinels, the Ruined King, Viego, and of course the new champion Akshan, this time it’s about a new batch of Coven skins. Themed around the alternate universe, all about the attempts of some dark deities to return to the world, “challenged only by the light of the eclipse”, the new Coven skins are coming up for the lucky champions Ahri, Ashe, Cassiopeia, Evelynn, Malphite , Warwick. and LeBlanc, which gets a Prestige Edition version.

As is often the case when a patch is new to the PBE, there are no balance changes to see yet, but it is very likely that we will see some arriving in the next few days, so keep checking these notes.

However, Riot’s “mid-range Sona update” planning to release with patch 11.16 has now made its way to PBE, which you can see in the Sona update section below.

For now, let’s take a look at what’s coming up: here are the tentative League of Legends Patch 11.16 Notes (Health, Surrender to 20!):

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PATCH 11.16 RELEASE DATE AND DURATION

According to the League of Legends 2021 patch schedule, League of Legends patch 11.15 to go live Wednesday August 11 2021. Maintenance times are yet to be confirmed, but generally start at 3 a.m. M. PT for NA servers, at 5 a.m. M. UK time for EUW servers and 3am. M. CET for EUNE servers, and they last approximately three hours.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PATCH 11.16 CHAMPION CHANGES

Champion changes

Diana – nerfed

Lunar Silver Leaf (Passive):

Damage dealt to monsters reduced from 300% to 250%.

Fiora – nerfed

Sheet work (E):

Ability cooldown increased to 11/10/9/8/7 seconds from 11 / 9.5 / 8 / 6.5 / 5 seconds.

Jarvan IV – polished

Martial Cadence (Passive):

Current HP damage increased from 8% to 105

Cataclysm (R):

Bonus attack damage rate increased from 150% to 180%

Jhin – polished

Deadly Bloom (W):

Damage dealt per skill increased to 60/95/130/165/200 from 50/85/120/155/190

Call to the curtain (R):

Min Damage Attack Damage Ratio increased from 20% to 25%

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PATCH 11.16 – SONA UPDATE

Sona update

Power chord (passive):

Speeding up:

Sona gains stacks of Accelerating by using her basic abilities well. Permanently gain +0.5 base skill haste per stack, up to 60 base skill haste. When he reaches 60 base skill haste, instead of accumulating more stacks, the cooldown of his current ultimate is reduced by 1.5 seconds.

Power chord:

After using 3 basic abilities, Sona’s next attack deals a [20-245 +20% AP] magic damage and can have an additional effect based on the last song Sona triggered.

Hymn of Valor:

Attack deals [28-336 +28% AP] magic damage instead.

Aria of perseverance:

The objective is concerned [25% +0.04% AP] less damage for 3 seconds.

Song of Haste:

The target is slowed by [40% +0.04% AP] for 2 seconds.

Hymn of Valor (Q):

Tool Information:

Sona Deals [40/70/100/130/160 +40% AP] magic damage to the two closest enemies, prioritizing champions. Then a new melody begins. Gain an Accelerating stack for each champion you damage with this.

Melody: Sona gains an aura for 3 seconds, granting allied champions an [10/15/20/25/30 +20% AP] magic damage on your next attack within 5 seconds.

Power Chord – Staccato: Power Chord bonus damage ((28-336 + 28% AP) total magic damage).

Aria of Perseverance (W):

Active:

Sona restores [3050/70/90/110 +20% AP] Health to herself and a nearby allied champion, prioritizing the most wounded. Then start a new

Melody: Melody: Sona gains an aura for 3 seconds, granting allied champions. [25/50/75/100/125 +30% AP] Shield for 1.5 seconds. Gain a stack of Accelerating each time you heal another injured ally and each time you protect another ally from at least 25 damage with this shield.

Power Chord – Diminuendo:

Power Chord also reduces the physical and magic damage dealt by the target during [25% +0.04% AP] for 3 seconds.

Song of Haste (E):

Active:

Sona starts a new melody and grants herself [20% +0.02% AP] Movement speed for 3 seconds, extended up to 7 seconds if no damage is taken.

Melody: Sona gains an aura for 3 seconds that grants allied champions. [10/11/12/13/14% +0.02% AP] Move speed for 3 seconds.

Power Chord – Tempo:

Power Chord also slows the target’s movement speed by [40% +0.04% AP] for 2 seconds.

Crescendo (R):

Tool Information:

Sona strikes an irresistible string, stunning enemies for 1.5 seconds and dealing [150/250/350 +50% AP] magic damage.

Enemies that can dance will dance during the stun.

Item changes

Dark seal

Effects:

Passive stacks lost on death (Glory) increased from 4 to 5

Passive Ability Power (Dread) reduced from 5 to 4.

Redemption

Active – Intervention:

Healing effect increased from 180 to 360 to 200-400.

Item cooldown reduced from 120 seconds to 90 seconds.
