While he slept, Senator Ted Cruz saved the nation from Marxist control Wednesday night from radical Democrats.
Cruz killed the Democrats’ “People’s Law” that would put power in the hands of the Marxists.
Thank goodness for Ted Cruz.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) blocked an attempt by Senate Democrats to push through a federal election reform bill early Wednesday morning.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) introduced the For The People Act, a bill that critics say amounts to a federal election takeover, to the ground around 3:30 p.m. am after the Senate had concluded 15 hours of amendment voting on a $ 3.5 billion budget resolution. In the middle of the night, Schumer tried to pass the federal review of the election by unanimous consent, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Only one objection from a senator was required to stop the process. In a round trip of about 15 minutes, Cruz shot down Schumer’s attempt to force the election bill through the Senate. Cruz criticized the bill in statements in the Senate:
This bill would constitute a takeover of the elections by the federal government. It would constitute a massive takeover by the Democrats. It would disenfranchise millions of Americans and do the exact opposite of its nominal title, ‘For the People’. It is, instead, for politicians because it entrenches politicians and ensures that people cannot remove them from office. It would repeal virtually all reasonable voter integrity laws in the country, including voter identification laws endorsed by the overwhelming majority of this country, including ballot-collecting bans, again widely endorsed by the people of this country. It would mandate that criminals be allowed to vote, and it would automatically register millions of illegal aliens to vote. It would profoundly undermine democracy in this country, and that is why I am opposed.
