CDC Director Rochelle Walensky cautions the unvaccinated not to travel this Labor Day weekend – RedState

In case you haven’t noticed, for most of us this is a three-day weekend: Labor Day weekend 2021. For those families whose children are not yet in school, it’s one last. Opportunity to hike before snuggling. down and settling in the fall. Hell, even those whose kids have already started classes will take the time for a mini vacation and relax for a few days.

Well, if you’re not vaccinated, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky is saying … not so fast.

From the New York Post:

Americans not vaccinated against COVID-19 and considering travel plans this Labor Day weekend should reconsider, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) during a briefing at the White House on Tuesday.

In general, the health agency advises delaying travel until fully vaccinated, defined as two weeks after the second dose, or two weeks after the single dose developed by Johnson & Johnson.

“First of all, if you are not vaccinated, we recommend that you do not travel,” Walensky said during the virtual briefing.

“… People who are fully vaccinated and who wear masks can travel, although given where we are with the transmission of the disease at the moment, we would say that people should take these risks into their own consideration when thinking about traveling,” He said.

Yeah, good luck with that. The entire world is still appalled by the Afghanistan debacle, and the lies and deception of epic proportions coming from the guts of the Biden administration. Just because this cabinet wants to try to go back to COVID and vaccines does not mean that the American people will follow suit.

The Americans have also not forgotten those loyal service dogs left behind to suffer and die along with, we don’t know how many, Americans and Afghan allies. Regarding those animals, my colleague Scott Hounsell reported that we have the CDC ban to be grateful for for the delay that caused those dogs not to get out safely.

According to SPCA International, a ban issued by the CDC on the importation of animals from certain countries is the main barrier to the evacuation of animals from Afghanistan. The ban was imposed earlier this year due to an increase in fraudulent rabies certificates being submitted with import applications from more than 100 countries.

Leave it to the CDC. Good work, Dr. Walensky.

And in the “More Things CDC Should Take Care of Its Own Business” category last week, Dr. Walensky addressed the issue of weapons. violence control, and spoke about how heartbreaking it is to see children in Chicago die from guns. The government-influenced causes that help produce this violence, such as loose prosecutors who do not enforce the law, and the current push to defund the police, are not mentioned.

My colleague Jerry Wilson, who reported on Dr. Walensky’s foray into gun activism, made this point:

The biggest problem with Walensky’s entry into the fray is the fundamental mistrust he has earned in the area of not turning this into a party government overreach. He has not been able to clarify his story about COVID. Walensky has offered no evidence that he will not turn matters of national interest into conduits for the financial benefit of the family. These are not the hallmarks of someone capable of negotiating the frenzied waters of anything involving weapons in this country.

Dr. Walensky seems to follow the leads of whatever the Biden administration wants, rather than looking at the actual data or science and reaching scientific conclusions. As my colleague Kate Paul Dillon revealed after Dr. Walensky’s last press conference, good doctrix doesn’t seem to bother reading and analyzing any of the data currently available to it, before blurting out pronouncements from its mouth. Dr. Walensky reads the talking points quite well. The actual investigation? Not that much.

Dr. Walensky never shows her work, does not cite sources, and lets journalists investigate her claims. Obviously few do, and even then the AP can only find one small, non-peer-reviewed study that they assume these targeting changes could be based on. Taking an authority figure at his word, in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary with no stated evidence to the contrary, is not science. It is faith.

This is not the first time that the CDC director has taken the liberty of making broad moralizing statements without providing any evidence, and it is not the first time that the press simply has not asked for such data.

Dr. Walensky also has a husband who doesn’t pay much attention to his wife’s pronouncements (see Scott Hounsell’s article here), and he’s a doctor too. So why should anyone heed another obvious demonization of the unvaccinated and an attempt to promote the creation of a caste system for them? At this point, we are all tired of lies, hypocrisy, and double standards, whether related to COVID or Afghanistan.

So suffice it to say that most Americans, unvaccinated or not, will likely treat this pronouncement, as Biden treated the Americans, Afghans, and service dogs he left behind.

Dr. Walensky can speak with our backs. As you do so, lower yourself even lower and frown.

Unlike our citizens and allies, these caste-creating terrorists deserve nothing less.
