An old story is circulating again in light of the criticism of President Biden from the Gold Star families of the military men killed in Kabul.
Could this be true?
Wait … did Joe Biden really tell a fallen soldier’s widow that she’s too pretty for this to happen to him?

Unfortunately yes. If it is:
“He told my daughter-in-law … that she was too pretty for this to happen to him.”
“It wasn’t comforting, it was creepy.”

According to the Washington Examiner, Biden’s comments to the widow were in November 2016:
But Biden’s comments to Shelby Iubelt cemented the negative impression on the younger soldier’s family. “He told my daughter-in-law … that she was too pretty for this to happen to him,” recalls Mike Iubelt. “It’s probably a good thing that he was surrounded by the Secret Service, probably for both of us, because he would probably be locked up in jail right now.”
Loquasto also criticized the comment. “It wasn’t the right time, but heck, I make mistakes all the time,” he said. “It wasn’t comforting, it was creepy.”
So nothing has changed:
“It was a horrible conversation, it was a horrible experience. It’s probably a good thing that he was surrounded by the Secret Service, probably for both of them. “@Joe Biden angered Gold Star’s parents minutes before their fallen son’s remains were transferred.https://t.co/EqhmrZcfpv

He also reportedly told his relatives that they are “a 14th century country, they don’t want us there, they will never change”:

Just wow:
“Why would they send our children, our army, to a situation where there is no way out, there is no end?” Mike Iubelt, father of the fallen PFC. Tyler Iubelt said. “There is nothing good that will come of that, according to Joe Biden.” https://t.co/KUI5cw6sxE
