Looking for the best M82 equipment in Warzone? This heavy hitting semi-auto sniper rifle dates back to the Barret .50 from the original Modern Warfare trilogy and is a lot of fun in Warzone. It fills a completely unique niche in the sniper rifle class, splitting the difference in bullet speed between extreme range kings like the ZRG and faster-handling weapons like the Swiss K31.
However, the M82 is semi-automatic as well, making it a bit more forgiving than either of these alternatives. With single-shot potential and quick follow-ups of missed headshots, the M82 is perhaps the most underrated sniper rifle in Warzone. If you want to try it and see it for yourself, this guide will give you all the knowledge you need to acquire Verdansk.
Best M82 Equipment on Wazone
We’re building our M82 for maximum bullet velocity, to help you achieve those long-range headshots.
Here’s the best M82 loadout on Warzone:
- Muzzle: Wrapped suppressor
- Barrel: Combat recon
- Underbarrel: Bipod
- Subjection: SASR Jungle handle
- Magazine: 7 Round
The keys to this construction are the Wrapped suppressor and Combat recon barrel. These two accessories will give your M82 maximum bullet velocity to help you take long-range shots. Bullet speed is a big part of any Sniper build, and the M82 is no different. Even with the forgiveness of a semi-auto, you’ll want those easy headshots.
Everything else is for quality of life. On a bolt-action rifle, don’t worry about recoil control, but with semi-automatic weapons, you need to keep the recoil low enough to accurately follow up with another shot. the Bipod it should give you enough reverse control to handle that. the SASR Jungle handle helps with ADS speed, a constant pain point in heavier snipers like the M82. Finally, the 7 round magazine gives you a few extra rounds to work with. On a semi-auto Sniper, it is much more likely to fire the entire magazine, so this will help you avoid getting caught in the middle of reloading.
There are a few ways you can play around with this build if you wish. If you want a bit of mobility, try a Bruiser Grip and / or SAS Combat Stock. You shouldn’t be racing your M82 for the most part, but this can save your skin at times. Some players also opt for a short-range optics like Axial Arms 3x or Royal and Kross 4x. We prefer to stick with the default scope and save the attachment slot, but it is an option.
The sniper support meta is pretty fluid right now, but the Cold War AK-47 will definitely serve you well. We are also big fans of the AK74u. Take a look at our Best Warzone Gear Guide for more suggestions; all the sniper matchups out there will work very well.
That’s all you need to know to be successful with the M82! There really isn’t another sniper rifle quite like this, so it’s a fun change of pace.
